Trever launched his development career as a surveyor, then spent a decade as a land use planner at Morrison Maierle before founding Haystack Development in 2014. In past lives, he tuned skis in Big Sky and ran an upscale restaurant in downtown Bozeman. He’s since learned that a service mindset, a knack for spinning plates, and a knowledge of mountain-town dynamics come in handy with development, too.

Heavily involved in the community, Trever has served as President of City of Bozeman Planning Board, Chairman of the Big Sky Community Corporation. More recently he was on the Big Sky Architectural Committee, the Bozeman Area Transportation Coordinating Committee, and the Career & Technical Education Advisory Committee for the Big Sky School District.

Between consulting and volunteering, Trever floats and fishes the Yellowstone and shreds Big Sky with his wife Marie and twin rippers-in-training, Charlie and Lilly.
